Dennis William Schulte was born November 28, 1954 in Lake City, Iowa to parents Leonard and Opal Schulte. He lived on a farm near Auburn, Iowa until the family moved to Lake City in 1957.

Dennis attended Lake City Community Schools than began his working career at the local John Deere dealership. Dennis had a love for farm machinery and farming. After several years working at the farm equipment dealership, he worked at the Electrolux plant in Jefferson, Iowa. Dennis then returned to working at John Deere dealerships in farm machinery setup and delivery, and John Deere lawn and garden machine repair.

Dennis enjoyed his hobbies of fishing, gardening, and working on his antique John Deere tractor and lawn equipment.

Dennis William Schulte, 59, of Story City passed away on October 4, 2014, after a lengthy illness at Bethany Life Community in Story City.

Dennis is survived by a son, Dennis Jr. of Denver, Colorado, and a daughter, Michelle Schulte Woodson of Omaha, Nebraska; a brother, Lynn (Jan) of Story City, Iowa, two sisters, Patricia (Jerry) Burl of Hale, Michigan and Karen (Paul) Blanchfield of Clarkson, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Opal Schulte, and a brother Chuck.
