Slater woman died Tuesday

Mrs. Rose A. Nott, 96, Slater, died Tuesday morning at the Grand Avenue Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be a the Slater Methodist Church, Slater. Burial will be in the Slater Cemetery. The date of the funeral service is pending. Friends may call at Riis Funeral Home, Slater.

Born at Sparta, Wis. she was a member of the Slater Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Des Moines Post No. 738 of V.F.W. Ames Marian Rebekah Lodge. Occidental Chapter 160 Eastern Star of Madrid and Old Fiddlers Association of Iowa.

She is survived by three daughters, Florence Nibel of Ames, Roberta Nott of Des Moines, and Laura Wojcienszek of Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert G. Nott, and two brothers.
