Laura Ella Maroney
Sept. 22, 1904-April 13, 1994

Laura Ella Maroney, 89, of Nevada, died Wednesday of heart failure at her home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. a the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada, with Pastor Forrest Chaffee officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Laura Quam was born in Roland to W.W. and Ida (Johnson) Quam. She married James H. Maroney on Dec. 27, 1924. A lifetime resident of Nevada and Story County, she worked for the R.H. Donnelley Company for 39 years. She was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church and the Ruth Circle.

She is survived by a sister, Avis Robinson of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be Friday from noon at 8 p.m., with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada.
