Jan. 11, 1913 to June 19, 2002

Hermina Anna Martha Gaedke, 87, of Colo, died of cancer Wednesday, June 19, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

She was born Jan. 11, 1915, in Parkers Prairie, Minn., to Emil Rudolph and Anna (Petermann) Fritz. She married Walter Gaedke on Nov. 2, 1933, in Leaf Valley, Minn. She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in State Center.

Survivors include her husband, Walter, of Colo; a son, Marcel (and Margaret) Gaedke of Colo; a daughter, Bobette Matzen of Evansdale; a daughter-in-law, Lugene Gaedke of Colo; 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Ottilie Mahlke of Evansville, Minn.

Her parents; a son, James; three brothers and 10 sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in State Center with Pastor Mike Maddick officiating. Burial was in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and/or the Israel Family Hospice House. The Bacon Funeral Home, Nevada, handled arrangements.
