Rees rites Wednesday

Charles B. Rees, Nevada, 79, died Monday at the Story County Hospital.

Born Sept. 7, 1890 in Chariton, he had been a resident of Story County for 74 years. He retired in 1933 after 44 years with the U.S. Post Office.

He is survived by his wife, Lora; two son, Charles, Jr., Jefferson City, Mo. and Paul, Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Cox, 2707 Duff Ave. and Mrs. Jean Nordstrom, Simi, Calif.; nine grandchildren; two grandchildren; a brother, Otis, San Francisco, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Ruth McKibben, Glendale, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services are Wednesday at 3 p.m. from Ryan Funeral Home with Elder G. M. Fillman officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
