William 'Bill' Fredrick Fuss
June 13, 1920-March 11, 2002

William "Bill" Fredrick Fuss, 81, of Nevada, died Monday of respiratory failure at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames, with the Rev. Brice Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

William "Bill" Fredrick Fuss was born June 13, 1920, in Gwinner, N.D., the son of Fredrick and Bertha (Lehwald) Fuss. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Lucille Irene Shearer Jan. 9, 1949, in Ames. He moved to Nevada in 1947. He was a farmer. He later was employed in the Hy-Line poultry business. He was a Pinkerton guard at 3M. He also did sand blasting at General Filter. He was a member of the Odd Fellows in Nevada.

He is survived by three daughters, Nancy Ashburn and Linda Nickerson of Nevada, and Cindy Huston of Ames; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one son; and wight brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Steven Memorial Chapel.

Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames is charge of arrangements.
