Mrs. Miriam N. "Mickey" Kaloupek

Mrs. Miriam N. "Mickey" Kaloupek, age 50, of 504 13th Avenue, Grinnell, died Thursday evening, April 8, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

She was the daughter of N.S. and Hazel Peterson Nutty and was bor December 16, 1925 in Des Moines.

She attended Nevada Public Schools; was graduated from Nevada High School; and attended Drake University in Des Moines.

On August 16, 1953, she was united in marriage to Lee Kaloupek in Nevada. To this marriage were born three children: Neal; Ann; and Kay.

Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Kaloupek moved to Toledo, Iowa where she was employed as a legal secretary.

In 1968, they moved to Garner, Iowa and for the past seven years they made their home in Grinnell.

She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church; was an Elder of the church; and was a member of the Chapter "JB" of P.E.O. in Grinnell.

She had been associated with the Pennysaver and more recently with the Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company in the Public Relations Department.

Survivors include her three children: Neal L. Kaloupek, a student at Iowa State University in Ames; Ann Kaloupek, A Junior in Grinnell High School; and Kay Kaloupek, in Seventh Grade of Grinnell Junior High; one sister, Mrs. Betty M. Nelson of Nevada; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers; Eugene Nutty, and Max Nutty, who died in infancy.

Funeral services for Mr. Miriam N. Kaloupek were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 12 at the Grinnell First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Daniel L. Ogata, pastor of the church, officiating.

Organist was Mr. Eugene Holley.

Casketbearers were William C. Bennett, Charles Kaloupek, Douglas Kaloupek, John Kaloupek, Robert D. Kaloupek, and Charles Willer.

Flowerbearers were Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hammelman and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hunter.

Burial was in the Nevada, Iowa Cemetery with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Should friends desire, a Memorial Fund has been established in Mrs. Kaloupek's name and they may be left at the Smtih Funeral Home.
