Hazel Nutty
NEVADA -- Services for Mrs. Hazel Nutty, 85, will be held Friday, August 1 at 11 a.m. from Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada. Pastor Walter E. Lack will officiate with burial in the Nevada Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at Ryan's after 10 a.m. on Thursday.
Mrs. Nutty died Tuesday evening [July 29, 1975] at the Story County Hospital in Nevada where she had been a patient for the past three months. She had been in failing health for 10 years.
Born July 15, 1890 in Nevada to John and Sena Peterson, she had been a resident of Nevada her entire life. She was former tea room operator for 30 years.
Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Betty Nelson and Mrs. Irene Truher, both of Nevada and Mrs. Miriam Kaloupek of Grinnell; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Mabel Brown of Des Moines and Mrs. Lena Dirksen of Ames.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters, two sons and her husband who died in 1946.
