Dr. N. S. Nutty Died This Morning At Veteran's Hospital
Dr. N. S. Nutty, longtime Nevada veterinarian, passed away at 12:30 this morning at the U. S. veterans hospital in Des Moines after a prolonged illness.
Born in Tazewell county, Illinois, he was 59 years of age of March 5, 1946. he had been in the hospital since August, 1945.
Dr. Nutty moved to central Iowa with his parents in his early boyhood and lived in Iowa the greater share of his life.
He was a graduate of Iowa State College and a veteran of World War I. After his graduation in 1913 from the college of veterinary surgery he began practicing in Nevada and on his return from service continued his practice here.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Morfoot Funeral Home with Rev. E. P. Windman officiating. The committal service in the Nevada cemetery will be a military one.
Dr. Nutty is survived by his daughters, Betty, Mrs. Richard F. Nelson and Miriam, Mrs. Donn W. Higgs, of Nevada, his mother, Mrs. M. L. Nutty of Woodward and Mrs. A. L. Carstens of Burchinal and two brothers Lee T. Nutty of Ames and Ed. Nutty of Chicago.
During his many years as veteriarian, Dr. Nutty made a wide circle of friends throughout Story county.
