Overbaugh rites to be Monday

Phillip Overbaugh, 67, 122 South Riverside Drive, died about 9 a.m. Friday at Veterans Hospital, Minneapolis, Minn.

Born at Irving, Kan., he lived in Iowa for 46 years. Mr. Overbaugh was a farmer until he retired.

He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Methodist Chuch, Nevada and served as superintendent, an elder and a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Overbaugh is survived by his wife, Gladys; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Bannigan, Springfield, Mo.; two grandchildren; three brothers, Ray of Seattle, Wash., Clifford of Frankfort, Kan. and Charles of Mesa, Ariz.and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schoonover and Mrs. Ralph Hersh, both of Mesa, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, a sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Evangelical United Brethren Methodist Church, Nevada. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

The body will lie in state until Monday noon at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada.
