Nevada school janitor died

Homer Ralph Raines, 51, Nevada, died of a coronary thrombosis at Story County Hospital, 9:50 a.m. today*.

Raines, a resident of Nevada for 25 years, was custodian of Nevada Community School.

Born Jan. 4, 1907 at Humansville, Mo., Homer R. Raines married Helen Smith Sept. 16, 1948 at Macon, Mo. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. from Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with Rev. Robert Baker officiating and burial at Nevada Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife Helen, three daughters, a step son and a step daughter, two brothers, Carl Raines, Butler, Mo.; and Frank Raines, Nevada, and a sister, Mrs. Edna White, Ames.
