Clarence L. Young, 63, West E Avenue, died at his home Saturday afternoon at 12:45 following in lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 .m. with the Rev. C. E. Lookingbill in charge. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.
Born Sept. 22, 1892, a son of George and Sarah Young, he had lived in Nevada the most of his life. He was married Dec. 8, 1919 at Bedford, Ia. to Florence Flowers.
He was a veteran of World War I and a former member of the V.F.W.
Surviving are the wife Florence, and ten children: John Henry, Robert Clarence and William Wendell of Nevada, Frederick Guy of U.S. Marines, Mrs. Wm. Kohutanyez, New York, N.Y., Mrs. William Caulkins of Ames, Mrs. Ira Hetrick and Mrs. Fred Harry of Pennsylvania, Mary Florence and Sharon Kay at home.
He leaves four sisters: Mrs. Virgil Eyanson and Mrs. Alice Hines of Nevada; Mrs. Phrone Stoops of Ams and Mrs. Inez Samson of Homer, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
