Anthony "Tony" Ross
November 18, 1964 - May 17, 2014

Anthony Philip Ross (Tony), 49, of Story City, Iowa passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, May 17, 2014.

Tony was born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1964. Tony spent his school years in and graduated from Roland-Story Schools. He was finishing his B.S. degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University. Prior to Iowa State, Tony received his certification from Microsoft Corp. He was very proud of Roland-Story when they lost their first game when he was a freshman, and the last game when he was a senior. In between, they were state champions for three years in a row.

Tony loved sports (Cubs, Bears and Cyclones), computers and everything electronic. His knowledge knew no bounds. May he keep all the zeros and ones in order.

Tony is loved and missed by his parents, Philip and Carolyn Ross; sister, Erin Fink of Story City, brother-in-law, Dennis Fink; three nephews, Cutler Fink, Ethan Fink, and Wyatt Fink (long may the Skittles be plentiful) of Story City; his grandmother, Wilma Marshall of Leon, IA; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins scattered across the country.

Tony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Rosalie Ross; his maternal grandfather, Donald Marshall; and an uncle, Fred Ross.

As per his request, Tony has been cremated and there will be Celebration of Life at a later date. His remains will be scattered from the skies as a final tribute to his uniqueness.

The Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
