STRATTON FUNERAL THIS AFTERNOON
MRS. JOHN STRATTON PASSED AWAY AT HER HOME HERE MONDAY
Mrs. John Stratton, 60, who died at her home in this city Monday evening at 7 o'clock, will be buried this afternoon in the Nevada cemetery following funeral services at Memorial Lutheran church at 2:30 by Dr. C. N. Swihart.
Mrs. Stratton had been an invalid a number of months and had suffered from various complications, but Brights Disease was the immediate cause of her death.
Mrs. Stratton had lived in and near Nevada for a great many years, coming here with her parents when she was but 11 years of age and this being her home continuously since.
She was born Anna Mary Lough, one of the eleven children of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lough near Greeley, Delaware county, July 15, 18543 and died at her home in Nevada, Nov. 17, 1924, age 60 years 4 months and 3 days. It was in 1875 that the family moved to Story county and she was united in marriage to John M. Stratton February 15, 1888. Two sons were born to them and they with the husband three grandchildren and two brothers are left to mourn her untimely death.
The husband, the sons Glen Rex Stratton and Cyril Lough Stratton, the three grandchildren, and the brothers F. B. Lough and C. W. Lough are the immediate relatives left.
The family had lived for a great many years on farms south of this city but about four years ago moved into Nevada and this has since been their home.
Mrs. Stratton was a woman deeply admired by those who knew her and was loved and respected by member of her family as a wonderful wife and mother.
The relatives and friends will receive a full measure of the sympathy of the people of this community.
