Bob Hiatt's Sister Is Found Dead

Robert (Bob) Hiatt received word of the sudden death of his sister, Mrs. (Betty) Arvin Hoffmeyer at Sherburn, Minn. She was about 45 years old. Betty Mae was the daughter of Howard Hiatt and Letha VanDorin and upon the death of her mother was raised in the home of the Walter Gideons.

She is survived by her husband Arvin, two married daughters, Judy Clark of Cedar Rapids and Jean Anderson of Missouri, and a son Dennis Horn of Nevada; brothers, Donald of Ottumwa, Robert, Moravia, Lyle of Florida, Max, Phoenix, Ariz., and several grandchildren. She graduated from Moravia high school and taught school several years.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ryan funeral home in Nevada with burial at Nevada.
