MATHILDA G. RASMUSSON

Mathilda G. Rasmusson, 67, of Nevada IA died Friday, Jan. 31, 1986 at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

She was born Oct. 21, 1918, at Welsburg IA to Harm J. and Rachel Meyer. She attended Welsburg High School.

On Dec. 26, 1945, she was married at Welsburg to Harry R. Rasmusson.

They had lived in rural Nevada since 1945. Mrs. Rasmusson taught school eight years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Nevada United Methodist church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at the United Methodist Church in Nevada with Rev. Ernest Larson officiating. Interment was in Nevada Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Harry; three daughters, Linda Saveraid of Waukee IA, Nancy Sebring of Nevada and Nina Dunker of Clarion IA; two brothers, John H. Meyer of Wellsburg IA and Marlyn Meyer of Wellsburg IA; two sisters, Arvilla Frese and Viola Peters of Wellsburg; her father, Harm J. Meyer of Aplington IA and her stepmother, Mabel Meyer, and five grandchildren.

Her mother, Rachel Meyer, died in 1950.

Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home of 5th St. and Lincoln Highway, Nevada, was in charge of arrangements.
