Dean Knutson

Ordine (Dean) Knutson, 75, of Nevada died this morning at the Oak Park Manor Nursing Home, where he had lived for the past three weeks.

A native of Badger, Iowa, Knutson had lived in the county for past 43 years. He was a former heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife, Ilo, 3 sons, Dale and Dean of Ames and Gary of Alexandria, Va., 7 grandchildren and 4 brothers.

Knutson was preceded in death by his parents, Knute and Cecilia Knutson, and by 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at the Ryan Funeral Home Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Walter E. Lack officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
