ELIZABETH CHRISTIANSON

Elizabeth Jane "Libby" Christianson, 81, of Hickory park Trailer Court, Ames, Ia., died Tuesday, July 23, 1985, at her home of cancer.

She was born July 30, 1923, at Nevada, Ia., to Clarence and Florence (Flowers) Young. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1941.

On April 27, 1978, she was married at Ames, Ia., to Marvin Christianson. They lived at Nevada and Ames.

Mrs. Christianson had worked as a cook at the Sheldon-Munn Hotel, a dispatcher for Ames Yellow Cab, and in the housekeeping department of Mary Greeley Medical Center.

She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church of Nevada.

Her body was cremated.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 26, 1985, at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 5th St. and Lincoln Highway, Nevada, with Rev. Brad Braley officiating. Interment will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin; two sons, Sfc. William O. Rach, U.S. Army, Germany, and Dean Rach, RR2, Ames, Ia.; two brothers, Robert Young, Ames, and William Young, Nevada; four sisters, Ilo Herrick, Smithport, Pa., Dorothy Harry, Amberson Valley, Pa., Mary Wallingford and Sharon Hunter of Nevada, and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Fred and John Young, and a sister, Leona Kothencz.
