WILLARD C. BORTS

Willard C. Borts, 63, 738 11th St. Nevada IA, died Saturday, March 15, 1986, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames IA.

Death was due to a heart attack. He had been ill for six weeks.

Mr. Borts was born May 20, 1922, at Valeria IA to Archie and Myrtle Pitts Borts. He had lived in nevada the past 24 years.

He was married to Mary Lou Crandall June 27, 1949, at Indianola IA.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou; a son, Murl Borts of Nevada; a daughter, Janet Roeeske of Nevada; tow grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Borts and Max Borts, both of Ames IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Mr. Borts was retired from Ames School. He was a member of World War II Veterans, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Moose Lodge.

Funeral services will be at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G Ave., Nevada, Tuesday, March 18, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Charles McKinsey officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
