Rites Saturday for McVey boys

Funeral services for Terry Lynn McVey, 14, and his brother, David Wayne McVey, 10, both of rural Nevada, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Central Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Frank Hladkey officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

The two boys were killed in a motorcycle accident Wednesday [August 13, 1969].

Terry Lynn McVey was born Jan. 21, 1955 in Ames. David Wayne McVey was born Aug. 23, 1958 in Ames. They were the sons of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Keith McVey.

The boys were members of the Central Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include their parents, and four brothers, Ron, Gary and Steven, all at home, and Dennis in the U.S. Army in Germany; and two grandmothers, Mrs. Lillian McVey, a patient in Oak Park Manor, Nevada and Mrs. Helen Russell of Ottumwa.

A memorial fund has been established.

The Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada is in charge of funeral arrangements.
