Roy A. Hurd, Nevada, died

Roy A. Hurd, 63, Nevada, died Thursday evening at Mary Greeley Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks.

Funeral services will be Monday from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada. Ryans will announce the time. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Hurd, born Nov. 22, 1907 at What Cheer, had been a resident of Story County for several years. He was employed as custodian at Gates Memorial Hall at Nevada.

He married Nellie L. Bell, Feb. 11, 1928 at Aitkin, Minn.

Survivors include his wife, his father, Francis J. Hurd of Mesa, Ariz.; three sons, Russell G. Hurd of Uxbridge, Mass.; James W. Hurd of Gilbert and Donnie L. Hurd, Vincetown, N.J.; four daughters, Mrs. Joanne Leibold, 3315 Harcourt Drive; Mrs. Janet Prickett of Vincentown, N.J.; Mrs. Karen Huggins of Pilot Grove, Mo. and Mrs. Sharon Huggins, Boonville, Mo.; two brothers and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, three brothers and a son.
