H.D. CLIFFORD

Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Marvin Hulse officiating for H.D. Clifford, 520 Highview, Nevada who died Friday at Story County Hospital. He was 84.

Born May 26, 1890 in Dedham, Iowa, he was the son of Charles and Mary Clifford and had been an Ames-Nevada resident for the past 44 years. He was a retired farmer.

He married Dorothy D. Hover on March 20, 1920 in Des Moines and was a member of the United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Clayton of Nevada; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Haggard and Mrs. Lenora Textor, both of Coon Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
