Rites Saturday for Nevada man

Walter Rasmusson, 84, Nevada, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 22, at the Story County Hospital, where he had been a patient about six days.

A retired farmer, he had lived in Story County all his life. He was a member of the Nevada Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie; two son, Harry and Forrest, both of Nevada; a daughter, Mrs. Irene Jacobson, Story City; 12 grandchildren; tw brothers, C. E. Rasmusson of Zearing and Elmer, Des Moines, and five sisters, Anna Rasmusson aof Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Stena Kline of Iowa Falls, Mrs. Martha Hallan* of Nevada, Mrs. Emma Kerns of Auburn, Neb. and Mrs. pearl Thomas, San Leandro, Claif.

Mr. Rasmusson was preceded in death by a sister and brother.

Funeral services were held from the Nevada Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. M. C. Shupe officiating. Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Ryan Funeral Home until time for services.
