Rites Saturday for J. B. Walker

J. B. Walker, 61, 1309 Marston Ave., died Wednesday [March 15, 1972] at Mary Greeley Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m., from St. Cecelia's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ft. Joseph Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Walker was born Feb. 7, 1911, in Knoxville, Tenn. He was president of the Home Furniture Co. here and a member of the Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, and the Ames Chamber of Commerce. For more than 35 years, he was zone circulation manager for the Des Moines Register and Tribune Co.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; three children: John, Brian and Nancy, all living at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Walker of Nevada, and a sister, Mrs. LaVone Hunter, Mason City.

A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. tonight at Stevens Memorial Chapel.

A memorial fund has been established. Contributions may be sent to his home.
