Dorothy Armstrong Schultz
Jan. 15, 1909 to Oct. 10, 1999

Dorothy Armstrong Schultz, 90, of Nevada died of pneumonia and congestive heart failure on Sunday, Oct. 10, at Story County Hospital in Nevada.

She was born Jan. 15, 1909, in Nevada to Emmett and Anna Fay (Lockridge) Armstrong. She married Howard E. Schultz on Aug. 21, 1935, in Nevada. She was a homemaker and was also employed in the Story County Recorder's Office in the early 1930's. She was lifelong resident of Nevada and a member the Central Presbyterian Church, PEO (Chapter AM), Child Study Club, Nevada Municipal Cemetery Board, Church Circle and Bridge Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf, gardening, furniture re-finishing, needlepoint and girls' basketball.

Surviors include two sons, Stephen C. Schultz of Crestwood, Ky. and John F. Schultz of Indianola; two grandchildren, Charles Schultz of New York, N.Y., and Laura K. Schultz of Ankeny; and two sisters, Lydia Adams of Ames and Julie Armstrong of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 15, 1967; four brothers, Lloyd, George, Frank and John Armstrong; and two sister, Margaret Jane Crisp and Jean Larson.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Central Presbyterian Church with Pastor Larry Mitchell officiating. A memorial fund has been established in Dorothy's name for the Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada.
