John O. Sharp, 60, 212 Seventh street, Nevada died this morning at 7:30 o'clock in the Story County Hospital where he had been taken at 4:30 a.m. Death was due to a heart attack.

The body is at the Ryan Funeral Home where funeral arrangements are pending.

Born Sept. 6, 1895 at Huxley, a son of Ole and Lena Sharp, the deceased has lived his entire life in Story county. On July 30, 1918 he was united in marriage to Clara Ann Oakland in Huxley. An employee of Story County, he was also a member of Memorial Lutheran church in Nevada.

Surviving are the wife Clara, and 11 children, which includes seven sons, Max, Fred, Leroy and Dick of Nevada, Milford of Duluth, Minn., John of Ames Orville of the U. S. Navy at Atanta, Ga. and four daughters, Mrs. Leota Gammon, Ames, Mrs. Carleen Kenny, North Jackson, Ind., Mrs. Angeline Erickson, Maxwell, Ia., and Mrs. Jessie Peterson, South Gate, Calif.

He also leaves 23 grandchildren, one brother, Ole Sharp of Des Moines, and two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Patton of Des Moines and Mrs. Ed Landy of Thompson.
