Last Rites For Mrs. Mary Housier Held on Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Housier, 86, 820 Third street, who passed away at Mary Greeley hospital Saturday, Aug. 12, were held from the Ryan Funeral Home, Monday afternoon at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Harry C. Ogden officiating.
Vocal selections were sung by Mrs. Kenneth Rapp, accompanied by Miss Beth Mary Rapp. Her songs included, "Rock of Ages", "Blessed Assurance", "Pass Me Not O Gentle Savior" and "O Master Let Me Walk With Thee".
The flowers were arranged by Mrs. C. L. Gifford and Mrs. H. L. Huddleston.
The casket bearers were Carroll Callison, Hubert irby, Lawrence Toms, C. J. Muse, Eddie Harrell and Harold Tipton.
Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Obituary
Mary Alice Suttle was born to Bartly and Sarah Stewart Suttle on November 17, 1863, near Cedar Mills, Adams County, Ohio, and passed away at Mary Greeley hospital, Ames, Iowa on August 12, 1950, at the age of 96 years, eight months and 25 days.
Her father passed away when she was 6 years old and her mother when she was 11 years of age. Her mother's parents raised the family of children. It was near Cedar Mills that she grew to womanhood and received her education.
She met and married John Henry Housier on Jan. 17, 1892. To this union six children came to bless the home, three daughters passed away in infancy, Roy C. on November 3, 1948 and Earl E. on August 15, 1949.
She is survived by her husband and daughter Cora, a sister, Mrs. Ella Behm of Norwood, Ohio and a number of nieces and nephews. She also leaves three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Maude Suttle, Fisher, Ill., Mrs Cora Suttle, Ottumwa, Ia., and Mrs. Mary Stebbins, Denver, Colo.
At an early age she joined the Cedar Mills Methodist church. Later, on moving to Danville, Illinois, she became associated with the Kimble Methodist Church an on coming to Nevada she transferred to the First Methodist church of Nevada on May 18, 1942, while Rev. R. C. Murdock was pastor, where she remained faithful, although unable to attend services.
The deceased was a great influence on those with whom she came in contact. She gave her children religious training as soon as they were old enough to comprehend. She bore her long years of suffering and confinement without a word of complaint.
These from a distance in attendance at the last rites were Mr. and Mrs. Orville Leischner of Gifford, Ill., a niece of the deceased and her husband and Archie Suttle of Fisher, Ill., her nephew.
