R. Handsaker Dies

COLO-Ralph Handsaker, 82, died Friday, Nov. 14, at the Marshalltown Community Hospital, West.

Services were held Monday afternoon at the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Leo Wilson of Deep Riber and the Rev. Duane Manning, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Handsaker born Nov. 30, 1886, on a farm north of Colo, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Handsaker, and lived there all his life. he was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Margaret) Litzel of Ames and Mrs. Bill (Annabell) Goodwin of Colo; one son, Johnnie of Colo; two brothers, Thomas of Colo and William of Nevada; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah, in 1930; two sons, David in 1920 and Ralph Jr. in 1928, a daughter, Mrs. Bernice Brennen in 1965 and a sister.

The Brouhard Funeral Home of Zearing was in charge of arrangements.
