BENJAMIN F. BELL

Benjamin Franklin Bell died Feb. 7, 1963 at his home, 1312 Eighth St., Nevada. He was 90.

The son of Thomas Hurd Bell and Jane Richman Bell, he was born Aug. 19, 1872 at Fisher, Ill., the oldest of six children. He graduated from high school and attended college at Springfield, Ill. and Eureka College at Lincoln, Ill.

He and Stella Morain were married March 28, 1895. They came to Nevada in 1897, when he went into the merchantile business. In 1936 Mr. Bell was one of the oldest businessmen in Nevada.

His wife preceded him in death in 1950. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Florence Bell Lefler and Mrs. Jane Bell Golden, both of Nevada and Mrs. Elizabeth Bell Sweet of Evanston, Ill. and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Feb. 11 from the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Frank Hladkey officiating. Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robert Dana, Glenn Davis, Riohard Irish, Sam McHose, John Miller and Howard Schultz.
