Florence Lefler

Florence Lefler of 303 K Avenue, Nevada, died Saturday, July 28 at her home.

Born to Benjamin F. Belland Stella Morain in Fisher, ill., she married James W. Leflar in 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas.

She received her degree in music and art from the University of Iowa and taught in high schools and received her degree as a registered nurse after study at the University of Texas and University of Minnesota. She nursed in Galveston, Texas, and Ames for several years until her marriage.

She was a also a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Leland E. Gluck, one sister, Jane Bell Golden and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Private funeral services will be held at the request of the deceased at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, with Dr. William Bass officiating. The family will meet friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.
