Barnhart rites to be Thursday
Funeral services for David M. Barnhart, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claire J. Barnhart, 1507 Kellogg Ave., will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. William Fischer officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
The youth died Friday when the raft he was riding on overturned in the Skunk River north of Ames, and drowned.
Born in Ames, he was a ninth grader at Central Junior High School.
He is survived by his parents; three brothers, Jim, of Boone; Brian, and his twin, Deane, both at home; his grandmothers, Mrs. H. C. Barnhart and Mrs. William Smith, both of Marshalltown, and his grandfather, Harry Jordan, Ames.
Adams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
