Mallory rites set for Monday

Oliver S. Mallory, 65, 220 Walnut St., died Friday in Des Moines.

Born in Springfield, Ill. in 1898, he moved to Story County in 1908. He was engaged in farming until 1917, worked for farming until 1917, worked for Iowa State University for 21 years and the City of Ames for 10 years. He retired two years ago.

He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church and was Noble Grand of the Odd Fellows.

Funeral services are Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Stevens Memorial Chapel with the Rev. E E. Peters officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Stevens Chapel Sunday until time of services.

Mr. Malloy is survived by his wife, Edna; two sons, Glenn, Des Moines, Clifford, Bakersfield, Calif.; two baughters, Mrs. Arlene Teigland, Los Angeles, Mrs. Dorothy Pearc, Phoenix, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
