OSCAR L. HALL

Oscar L. Hall, 72 of rural Nevada, died Saturday, March 12, 1983 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 at the Methodist Church. Rev. Harold Wagner will officiate. Burial will be at the Nevada Cemetery.

Hall was born to Charles H. and Addie (Triplet) Hall on July 31, 1910 in Nevada. He attended school in Nevada graduated from high school in 1926. He then attended Iowa State College and Drake University.

Hall was married to Sina Baumgardner on April 5, 1934 in Nevada. He was local agent for Iowa Mutual Insurance Co. for several years before becoming an adjuster for the company. He held that position with the company for 30 years.

Hall was affiliated with the Nevada United Methodist Church and American Federation of Musicians. He played for several years with the Iowa Mutual Band and he also played with the organ in a trio with his two sons.

He is survived by his wife, Sina; two sons, Dr. Frederic Hall of St. Paul, Minn. and James Hall of Iowa City; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother.
