RICHARD CLAYBERG

Richard Clayberg, 58, of Ames, died Friday, Dec. 18, 1981 at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.

He was born Nov. 16, 1923 in Story City, the son of Edward and Florence Oyler Clayberg. On Nov. 15, 1942, he married Florence (Pat) Burnett at Princeton, Mo.

Mr. Clayberg lived in Story City until 24 years ago when he moved to Ames. He was employed at Iowa State University for twenty-five years before retiring in May of this year as ground ship foreman and storekeeper III. A veteran of W.W. II, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Ames.

He is survived by his wife, two son, Rick of Webster City and Michael of Marshalltown; a daughter, Patricia Swanson of Fort Dodge; four brothers, Earl, Lowell, Harold and Don of Story City; three sisters, Gladys Mathiason, Story City; and Helen O'Donnell, Colo; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 1:30 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home in Ams, with the Rev. Donald Jay of Colo officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Adams Funeral Home Monday afternoon and evening and Tuesday till time of service.

A memorial has been established with the Diabetes Association.
