FLORENCE E. RAPP

Florence Elizabeth Rapp, 78, of Ames, formerly of Nevada, died Saturday, March 26, 1983 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29 at the First Assembly of God Church in Ames with Rev. Richard Stierien officiating. Burial will be at the Nevada Cemetery.

Rapp was born to James and Sarah (Fisher) McDaniel on Dec. 9, 1906 in Nevada. She attended school at Nevada and Roland before graduating from Hayfield High School.

She married Kenneth Rapp and lived most of her life in Story County. She worked as a nurse's aide at the Story County Hospital in Nevada from the time it opened. She was affiliated with the First Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by one son, David Rapp of Nevada; one daughter, Beth Cohlert of Fort Collins, Colo.; two brothers, Ray McDaniel and Kenneth McDaniel, both of Nevada; three sisters, Mae Dodds of Knoxville, Ellen Martin of Panama City, Fla., and Betty Clark of Whittier, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

The family will meet friends at the Ryan Funeral Home Monday evening.
