Myron R. Johnson, 65, resident of Faribault and Martin counties in Minnestoa for the past 37 years, father of Myrl Johnson of Roland, and a former Story county farmer, died May 2 of arteriosclerosis. He had been in failing health for number of years.
He was born Aug. 29, 1871 in Manchester, Ind. On Feb. 29, 1898 he was united in marriage to Mary Dawson who died in 1941.
In 1902 they moved to Story county, farming near Nevada where they lived until moving to Minnesota in 1920.
The family lived in Elmore at Blue Earth, Minn. vicinities for 18 years before moving to a farm north of Welcome, Minn.
Mr. Johnson was a life long member of the Methodist church and tood an active part in the different organizations of the church.
He is survived by one daughter Mrs. James McNerney of Fairmont, Minn. and five sons; Myron of Roland; Yale of Easton; Keith of Elmore; Howard of Welcome and William of Blue Earth. He also leaves thirteen grandchildren, and fourteen reat grandchildren. Three children preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the Fairmont, Minn. Methodist church with the Rev. Paul Wilkinson officiating. Burial was in the Lakeside cemetery, Fairmont, Minn.
All member of the family were present at the funeral services.
