Francis Tarman, Nevada, died

Francis C. Tarman, 79, 1021 K Ave., Nevada, died Monday afternoon at the Story County Hospital. he had been in ill health for one week.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada with the Rev. Frank P. Hladky officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mr. Tarman was born Nov. 20, 1890 at Gridley, Ill. He moved to Nevada at an early age and has lived there ever since.

He was a former meat market and grocery store owner and had owned a real estate concern in Nevada.

He was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church.

He belonged to the Nevada Masonic Lodge, No. 99 and was former city councilman and mayor of Nevada.

Survivors include a son, Dr. G. Wayne Tarman, 1428 Roosevelt Ave.; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Harry Tarman, Hackensack, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and his wife, Jennie, who died in 1963.
