From unknown newspaper August 1952

Etta Helen Lockridge, daughter of William and Lydia Lockridge, was born November 10, 1862, in Nevada. She grew up in this community, and was graduated from the Nevada high school in 1882, attended Iowa State Teacher's college at Cedar Falls, then taught school in Story county for about ten years.

On October 19, 1892, she was united in marriage with Lee Arthur Will. To this union one son was born, Harry Lockridge Will, who passed away in 1912.

After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Will went to Salina, Kansas, where they operated a book and jewelry store for many years. Mr. Will preceded his wife in death in 1919. Mrs. Will remained active and in good health until April 23, 1952 when she entered St. John's hospital in Salina, where she passed away Sunday, April 27, 1952 at the age of 89.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Salina and the BW Chapter of PEO. Three of Mrs. Will's sisters who preceded her in death were well-known in Nevada; they were Mrs. T. P. Worsley, Mrs. John Drybread and Mrs. Emmett Armstrong.

Mrs. Will is survived by a large number of nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends who remember her friendliness, her interest in other people, and her willingness to help.
