Charles Hoel services held

Funeral services were held at Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada Tuesday afternoon for Charles (Lee) Hoel, 74, Nevada, who died Sunday after a two-year illness.

A Story County resident all his life, Hoel was a retired farmer and brickmason. He was a member of the Nevada Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Survivors include his wife Sophie, a stepson Kenneth E. Nleson, and two daughters Mrs. Clifford Miller and Mrs. Caroll Louks, all of Nevada, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also brothers William of Nevada and Guy C. of Coon Rapids, Minn.; sisters Mrs. Phil Overbaugh and Mrs. Carl Oxley, both of Ames; and Mrs. J. D. Wade, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Mrs. Burnell Hagen, Nevada.

Burial was in Nevada Municipal Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Link officiated at services.
