MRS. J.P. HOEL DIED; FUNERAL FRIDAY
MOTHER OF LARGE FAMILY PASSED AWAY AFTER A LONG CONFINEMENT
Mrs. J. P. Hoel, 55, died at her home southeast of this city at three o'clock this morning and the funeral will be held from the Church of Christ in this city, Friday afternoon at 2:00 after which interment will be in the Nevada cemetery.
It was something less than a year ago that a cancerous growth developed near one of her knees. Later amputation of the leg became necessary and for a time she appeared to be making satisfactory recovery until two weeks ago when she began to grow worse.
Mrs. Hoel, whose maiden name was Emma Jackson, had lived in and near Nevada for many years. He husband died about twelve years ago. She leaves four sons and five daughters. Three of the daughters and one son had been at home with her. She also leaves one brother, W. L. Jackson of Belle Plaine.
