Lena Alderman died Sunday

Mrs. Lena Alderman, 87, 105 S. Wilmoth Ave., died early Sunday* morning at Mary Greeley Hospital.

Funeral services were Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. O.M. Severseike of Bethesda Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery.

Born in Denmark, Mrs. Alderman came to the United States at the age of 14 and had lived in Ames since 1918.

She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church and the Golden Agers.

Survivors include her husband, Purley S. Alderman, a son, Ray M. Paulson, Omaha, Neb; a daughter, Mrs. Freda Freel, 809 Hunziker Drive; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
