Mrs. Mattie Huhn Died at Home Here Wednesday

Mrs. Mattie Huhn, age 63, passed away at her home, 912 Seventh street Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock after an illness that stretched over several years.

Born Mattie Josephine Doss at Philo, Ill., on February 17, 1883, she was confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran church in Philo on May 23, 1898.

She came to Nevada in 1906 where she was carried to A. W. Huhn on December 19th. She lived of a farm southeast of Nevada until March 1930 when she came to her home on Seventh street where she made her home with her daughter, Doris.

She had joined the Summit Evangelical church, but transferred her membership to Nevada where she was a loyal member, and regular attendant, until illness confined her to her home.

Surviving are her two children, Kenneth and Doris, both of Nevada, also one granddaughter, Sue Ann Huhn of Nevada.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Friday in the Evangelical church, with interment in the Nevada cemetery.

The body, now at the Morfoot Funeral Home, will be brought to the home late this evening.
