Nevada woman, Mrs. Hazel Olsan, died Monday
NEVADA -- Mrs. Hazel Olsan, 82, of 838 7th St., died Monday evening at the Des Moines General Hospital where she had been a patient for two days.
Funeral services will be held from the Ryan Funeral Home on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.
Born Sept. 8, 1894 to Irwin and Lucy Patten in Tonica, Ill., she had been a Nevada resident for the past 50 years.
Survivors include one son, Wallace J. Olsan of West Des Moines and two sisters: Mrs. Ray Taylor of Nevada and Mrs. Helen Wilson of Ames. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; two sisters; one son, Wayne, who was killed in World War II and her husband, Milos, who died in 1963.
