Services Saturday for Mrs. Townsend

Mrs. Evelyn Townsend, 64, 707 Kellogg Ave. died Aug 28 at Dallas County Hospital in Perry.

Services are Saturday at 1:30 p.m. fro the Ascension Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Asp officiating. Burial is in the Nevada Cemetery.

Mrs. Townsend was born Aug. 6, 1910 in Oskaloosa. She and Ray Townsend were married Feb. 6, 1929 in Slater. She was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone for the past 23 years. Mrs. Townsend was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, the American Business Women's Assn. and Northwestern Bell Telephone Pioneer Club.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Marion Carman, Port Huron, Mich. Mrs. Audrey Hall, Oxon Hill, Md. and Mrs. Donna Hoffman Bouton; a son, Paul, Austin, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. Christie Logsdon, Maxwell, Mrs. Maxine Thompson, Emmetsburg; Mrs. Alberta Beal, Nevada; and Mrs Mildred Fratzen, Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Don Skola, 4116 Ross Rd., 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at Stevens Memorial Chapel Friday from 7-9 p.m.
