Harry E. Beal

Harry E. Beal, 69, Nevada, died Monday, Sept. 11, 1989 at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Cause of death was a kidney ailment.

Services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Nevada. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery.

Beal was born Feb. 27, 1920 to James and Carrie (Myers) Beal. He was employed as the Chemistry Department store keeper for Iowa State Univerity, retiring in 1985, and was a lifetime resident of the Nevada area. He was veteran of World War II.

Beal married Mildred Ledford Feb. 23, 1974 in Nevada. He was a member of the William F. Ball American Legion Post No. 48, Nevada.

Survivors include his wife; his daughter, Pandora Holtkamp of Newton; one son, Keith J. Beal of Newton; three step children, Joyce Yarger of Belvidere, IL; David Adix, Nevada; and Richard Redix of Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Howard "Mike" Beal and Herman Beal; one sister, Hazel Dunahoo, and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation was Wednesday, Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
