The family would like to send a special thank you to Lonnie Gaumer and Pat Novachek who assisted her in transportation to and from doctor appointments. Without them this journey would have been impossible.

God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be,
He closed his arms around you and whispered "Come with me"
In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away
Our hearts were almost broken; you fought so hard to stay
But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free from pain,
We could not wish you back to suffer so again.
So keep your arms around her lord, and give her special care.
Make up for all the suffering and all that seemed unfair.

Colleen's wishes were to not have a funeral service. The Grandon Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Ames Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements. A private ceremony will be held at a later date at the Burns Cemetery.
