Edward S. Anderson
Oct. 9, 1898 to Jan. 16, 1992

Edward S. Anderson, 93, of Nevada died of pneumonia at Story County Hospital.

He was born to Albert and Cene (Jacobson)* Anderson at Ames and was a lifetime resident of Story County. He was a retiree of the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad. He married Inger Thorsbakken and was a member of Nevada Memorial Lutheran Church at Nevada.

Survivors include three sons, Richard of Sheldahl, Ronald of Nevada and Edward, Jr., of Nevada; three daughters, Geraldine Anderson of Nevada, Norma Ritz of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Marilyn Hill of Radcliffe; 25 grandchildren; and a number of great- and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1976, three children, four brothers, two sisters and one grandchild.

Visitation was held Sunday at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada. Funeral services were held Monday at Nevada Memorial Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
