Inger Anderson of Nevada died Sunday afternoon
NEVADA -- Mrs. Inger (Edward) Anderson, age 75, 1819 8th St., died Sunday afternoon at the Story County Hospital, shortly after being admitted. Funeral services will be held from the Memorial Lutheran Church Wednesday, Aug. 4 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Walter E. Lack will officiate with burial in the Nevada Cemetery.
Born Aug. 31, 1899 at Story City to John and Anna Thorsbakken, she had been a resident of Nevada for the past 40 years. She was married to Edward S. Anderson of Feb. 25, 1920 in Des Moines and was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; three sons, Richard of Sheldahl, Ronald and Edward Jr., both of Nevada; Five daughters: Mrs. Milton Anderson of Nevada, Mrs. Alfred Hagen of Ames, Mrs. George Ritz of Huntington Beach, Calif., Mrs. Joe Hill, Jr., of Radcliffe and Betty Smith of Freemont, Nebr.; one brother, Leonard Thorsbakken of Fort Dodge; two sisters: Mrs. Esther Haatvedt of Calender and Mrs. Curtis Nelson of Long Beach, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters and one son.
Friends may call at Ryan's Funeral Home until noon Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established.
