PEARL E. POSEGATE

Pearl E Posegate, 103, of Long Term Care, Nevada, Ia., died Tuesday, Jun 17, 1986, at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

Mr. Posegate was born Dec 14 1882 at Kelley, Ia. to George and Jane Posegate.

He was married to Lulu Sutherland Sept 21, 1905 in Nevada.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 20, at 1:30 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames, IA, with Rev. John Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Mr Posegate's survivors include four sons, Bernard of Ames, Robert of Nevada, Lowell of Roland, IA and Russell of La Grange Park, Il; a daughter Thelma Christiansen of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lulu in 1971 and one daughter.

Mr. Posegate attended Nevada Schools. He farmed in the Shipley, IA area until 1940 when he moved to the Story City, IA area where he farmed until the age of 96. For the past seven years he has resided at Long Term Care, Story County Hospital, Nevada.

Visitation was held Thursday from 5-9 p.m. at Stevens Memorial Chapel.
