Sudden Death Of Earl J. Peck, Nevada Resident

Earl J. Peck, 112 Eighth St., Nevada, passed away Monday night of a heart attack as he was opening the door of his garage.

He was found the next morning by Mrs. Peck and Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Heffelfinger who were searching for him. he had apparently opened the door but a little way when stricken falling forward n the garage behind the car.

Mr. Peck was a native son of Story County, was born in Warren township, Oct. 6, 1879, a son of John and Clara M. Peck.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rosa Peck and by one daughter, Mrs. Earl Smith, now in California with her husband, Capt. Smith. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Wanda Jane Smith.

Three sisters, Mrs. John Schauper and Mrs. Guy Mills of McCallsburg and Mrs. George W. Goss of Blairstown and one brother, Millard Peck in government work in the Far East, also survive.

Funeral arrangements are waiting work from the daughter in California.

Mr. and Mrs. Peck have made their home in Nevada for the past []5 years during which time Mr. Peck has been in the garage business.

For several years Mr. Peck owned and operated an automobile repair shop in Nevada but for some time he had been associated with the O. R. Shaffer Motor Sales, in the service department at 510 L Ave.
